The New York State Baseball Hall of Fame is designed to honor and recognize baseball players from New York and their achievements in baseball.
on November 10, 2013 at the Hilton Hotel in Troy, NY is pleased to announce the induction of these distinguished players, coaches and umpires.

The Johnny Podres Lifetime Achievement Award is named for an individual's contribution to the game of baseball.  The recipient can be a player, coach, umpire, or an executive.  The 2012 recipient was John Mayotte, Eckerd College.  The 2013 recipient is Ralph Branca, Brooklyn Dodgers.

Johnny Evers Community Contributor Award is presented to a person who has made a significant contribution to the community and the game of baseball.  The 2012 recipient was William Gladstone, owner of the Tri-City Valley Cats, an affiliate of the Houston Astros. The 2013 recipient is Steve Madarasz, Life Long NY Mets fan.

The John Ceruttti Sportsmanship Award is presented to a player or coach who exemplifies the spirit of the game through his conduct.  The 2012 recipient was Don Blaha, a 2011 inaugural inductee.  The 2013 recipient is Bob Bogdan, South High-Skidmore.

A player may be considered if he has played beyond high school. Inductee must have been born, lived or retired in New York State area.


                       SELECTION PROCESS

Any player, umpire or coach will be considered by their "body of work" and contributions to the community.

The player will be elected by majority decision of the Board of Directors.
