The Capital District Baseball Hall of Fame is designed to honor and recognize baseball players from upstate New York and their achievements in baseball.

The Johny Podres Lifetime Achievement Award is named for an individuals contribution to the game of baseball. The recipient can be a player, coach, umpire, or an executive. The 2011 recipient was George Rogers owner of the South Troy Dodgers. The 2012 recipient to be announced.


The Johnny Evers Community Contributor Award is presented to a person who has made a significant contribution to the community and the game of baseball. The 2011 recipient was Mike Serbalik. The 2012 recipient is William Gladstone, owner of the Tri-City Valley Cats, an affiliate of the Houston Astros.

The John Cerutti Sportsmanship Award is presented to a player or coach who exemplifies the spirit of the game through his conduct. The 2011 winner was David Palmer. The 2012 recipient is Don Blaha, an 2011 inaugural inductee.
